FEES: $545.00
$545 incl GST for tuition and performances in Terms 1 and 2, 2024. The invoice will be sent via Enrolmy. A payment plan is available only upon application. There is a compulsory one-off additional cost of $30.00 for the cast tee shirt and tote bag.
When you enrol in this show, each cast member automatically becomes a member of the ensemble. Over the first two weeks, CMTS will hold mini auditions during the lesson times. The purpose of these casting auditions are for the creative team to place each student in the role they feel suits them best. The children will be asked to: sing parts of a song from the show which they will learn together in the first few rehearsals; The same process will happen for dancing. Students will learn a short choreographed dance taught in the rehearsals. All students will be given the opportunity to read short passages from Mermaid Jr.
FIRST REHEARSAL FOR ALL CAST IS SUNDAY 9 February 10.00 A.M. - 1.00 P.M.
Parents are invited to a Q and A session at 12.40 p.m. after the first rehearsal.
Attendance at all dress rehearsals and performances is compulsory. Please ensure your child can commit to all rehearsals and performances. we cannot emphasise how important this is. non attendance at any of the dress rehearsals and performances lets down the whole cast.

THE SYNOPSIS
Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.
In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home – and her fins – behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.

Ursula Ursula is the manipulative sea witch who tries to overthrow King Triton. She is cunning and devious and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Gender: female Vocal range: F3 - C#5
Tentacles The Tentacles are extensions of Ursula, perhaps the poor unfortunate souls who are now trapped in her lair. Gender: any Vocal range: C4 - C#5
Flotsam and Jetsam Flotsam and Jetsam are Ursula's slippery spies. These electric eels are sinister and sneaky. Gender: any

Scuttle Scuttle is the know-it-all seagull who serves as Ariel's expert on humans. He is funny and off-beat. Gender: any Vocal range: B3 - E5
